Negative experience: Just a little confused about why people ask for your honest feedback when they only seem to appreciate it when it matches what they want to hear. This is based purely on my own experience and personal knowledge. I rented a flat in Appleby for about six months, and honestly, everything was fine. However, on the 9th of August, there was an incident involving the neighbourhood that made me decide to vacate immediately without a second thought. At that point, my priority was simply my own safety and peace of mind. Thankfully, my request to leave on short notice was accepted, and I was allowed to vacate without being charged for the remaining 21 days (big thanks to the Landlord). We had a clear conversation and as far as I understood everything was settled. So, my surprise when I received a call from the “PM” during my working hours, sounding rather upset and repeatedly telling me how disappointed they were about the rating I had given, after all the effortsss. Apparently, honesty can be quite disappointing these days. To be clear, I never claimed the flat itself and the service was terrible. My decision was based on an incident in the neighbourhood that made me uncomfortable enough to prioritise my safety. A rating is simply a reflection of my own experience, not a personal attack. If you ask for feedback, sometimes you get feedback not a thank you card. This is now my final feedback from the experience I had not just with the neighbour but also in this kind of customer service. Had to deal my trauma and anxiety for this racism treatment. I genuinely wish everyone well, but I also believe that choosing your own safety and peace of mind should never be something you need to apologise for. God bless!

The transition phase when you move into a house and vacate the place are so chaotic. However with Rent South, this process went so well. Team has a well structured process in place which made life so easier. The team is very helpful when it comes to house inspection. Should there be any issue post inspection, they guide you on what needs to be done. I was really impressed with the checklist which the team has and it made it so easy for me to follow as a guide. The communication flow between tenant and owner are done so well by the team that there are no room for miscommunication. Team has invested a lot with their internal processes, such as most of the paper work is done through online portal, which makes it so convenient. 360 degree angle of house pictures, whereby nothing gets missed out. Should there be any maintenance requirement, the team ensures that this is attended in timely manner. Overall, great team to work with.

Negative experience: Tried to view a property, there was no communication back, decided to apply for the property still no communication! The property is currently still available and vacant, doesn't make much sense too me. Fortunately we were able to view a property with harcourts and within 12 hours we were approved for the property and able to move In the next day!
