Negative experience: We purchased our first home through Priya Ferdis and had a very disappointing experience. At the first inspection, we noticed extremely low and inconsistent water pressure in the shower. Priya assured us multiple times that this issue would be fixed before settlement and told us not to worry. Despite several follow-ups, no resolution was provided. Just the night before settlement, she withdrew her assurance and asked us to replace the hot water cylinder ourselves. After moving in, we discovered the issue was far more serious. The hot water cylinder was 38 years old, unsafe, and required immediate replacement, costing us $3,000 + GST. We also requested that the rubbish bins be cleared before settlement and were repeatedly assured this would be taken care of. However, when we moved in, the bins were still full and there was a strong unpleasant odour around the house. Additionally, we have serious concerns about the accuracy and completeness of the building report provided to us. The building inspector was recommended by the agent, and as first-home buyers we relied heavily on this report. However, significant issues were not disclosed and only became clearly evident after settlement. This has raised concerns about the transparency and reliability of the information we were given during the buying process. This lack of honesty, accountability, and follow-through caused us unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and unexpected financial burden. It ultimately spoiled what should have been a positive and memorable first-home buying experience. We would not recommend this agent to first-home buyers who rely on clear communication, transparency, and commitments being honoured.

Negative experience: Honestly, I wasn’t planning to leave a review—but since you keep sending follow-up emails, here it is. As I’ve mentioned to both Tyran and Tod, we were unhappy with how we were treated during the process of purchasing our home. Despite raising our concerns, we were told everything was handled correctly. That’s simply not how it felt from our side. We didn’t feel valued or appreciated as clients, which is incredibly disappointing given the size and importance of this decision (first home buyers). We felt more like an inconvenience than anything else. If we could have kept the house but swapped Harcourts Massey North for another agency, we absolutely would have. That should say enough. On a positive note, Tyran was always available to talk and clearly worked hard in her own way, which we did notice and appreciate. But overall, our experience was frustrating, and we’re not walking away with good feedback to share.
