Louiza Sayers is the first person we contacted when my husband and I decided to rent out our property at Defoe Place. Louiza have always been very helpful and patient. She gave us all the information that we need to know, simplified it and made sure we understand it. She is very approachable and systematic. Kelly have been so helpful too especially with the listing of the property. The team's communication is excellent as well as their transparency. Our target timeline to start the rental was met and the whole team at Whittleknight made the process very, very easy and simple. Negative experience: Landlords beware - I was a tenant of WKB for 2 years & Fiona Lynch was my tenancy manager. When I first moved into the property I was told there would be 3 monthly inspections but the entire time I lived there she only inspected the house 3 times. Three times in 2 years. I was an unproblematic tenant so I guess she thought she didn't have to bother, but whenever I would tell her there were issues (carpet starting wear through, slow leaking pipes) she'd often say she'd get onto it but rarely ever did anything about it. I shudder to think of the amount of money my landlord was paying her every month to manage a property that she didn't seem to want to expell any energy at all to manage. So if you're looking for a tenancy manager that charges you a monthly fee for doing the bare minimum (but making out that she's doing the maximum) then Fiona is probably your girl. Response: I'm not surprised you're baffled because, like I said above, she's good at making out that she's doing the maximum. Your clients pay a fee for services that they believe they're getting without seeing the conduct from the otherside of the coin so of course they think she's doing a good job. And FYI my user name isn't my real name so that's why you can't find me & I'm going to keep it that way. I'm not jeopardizing my prospects of securing future rentals just because I gave some hard to swallow honest feedback about one of your staff

Communication is always fast and efficient, and things get sorted as required no dramas. If something is great or not up to scratch, they will let you know professionally without bias. From the time of first interest in our property Thomas put us totally at ease and always promptly answered any questions with clarity and patience and he returned all our calls promptly. If we didn’t have to, we would have definitely stayed with these lovely people for longer I write the previous paragraph 2 years ago and here we are two years later, the same dedication and commitment to tenants, either they are current or previous. She takes care of everything and makes the whole process very easy, from tenant selection to organising contractors to property inspections and reporting. Fantastic experience: My husband and I were searching the rental market when we came across a property that Sarah had listed in North Canterbury. When shared our interest and she was very prompt at getting back to us to let us know when we could come and view the property. Upon arrival she was so friendly and accommodating to our children. She genuinely wanted to get to know us as a family and learn about our interests our background etc. After showing us around the property she was very informative of what we needed to send to her for our application. Fantastic experience: Buyers͏ agent extraordinaire!! Searching for a property when you are based in another city is not easy but having Thomas as your buyers agent is. He very quickly understood what we were looking for and selected an excellent range of properties that met the criteria. He was totally professional, had extensive market knowledge and was supportive throughout the process. He provided detailed sales stats and property assessment for us including rental returns. An excellent communicator who remained in constant contact- he was always available at all hours. Fantastic experience: In 2022 my flatting group and I had the pleasure of having Anna from Whittle Knight as our property manager. Our issues this year were very few and far between, and when they did arise the resolution was reached quickly. For this reason we felt confident in signing onto another Whittle Knight property for 2023.

Fantastic experience: Update: During our 4th year with WKB, our fabulous property manager, Sarah, is still with us and continues to be professionally friendly during our flat inspections. She is an incredible property manager and I'd personally like to stick with her for as long as I can. We have lived in a WKB rental property for two years now and our property manager, Sarah, has been absolutely fantastic - super helpful with all things property related. When we were looking for a new flat for 2021, Sarah was very professional and helpful when showing us our options. Gladly, we have found another flat with WKB and are genuinely looking forward to working with Sarah for another year. All and all, a very happy experience with them :)
