Negative experience: Worst experience I have ever had. They are not even worth a star. I am giving them a star to write a review and let people, especially asians know about this. They were incredibly racist. I lived in one of the properties they managed, and it was a nightmare communicating with them. They were very condescending and made us feel like we were nothing. They even yelled at us over an issue they claimed wasn’t urgent—even though it clearly was on our side. Water was pouring out behind the house due to construction problems. Another time, we asked them to fix the ceiling lights, and they responded with, “Are you sure it’s not just the light bulb?” We were 100% certain the issue was something else, but they asked the same question five times and wouldn’t believe us. Eventually, they checked it themselves right in front of us. And no, this wasn’t over the phone or email—this entire interaction happened in person. The biggest part that pissed me off and pisses me off even to this day is the part that they were extra rude to my mom as she was not fluent in English. I am more than confident to say this attitude problem is because we were asian - I saw them interacting with other people and they were clearly rude to asians.

Fantastic experience: Click have managed our property for many years now, and i have found the service has just got better and better from when we first started out. AJ and Andrea in particular really know their stuff and are very easy to deal with and responsive. We are 'out of town' owners and feel comfortable in the knowledge that Click are managing our property with both ours and then tenants best interests at heart. When things have not always gone to plan (for whatever reason) Click have always demonstrated their ability to step up and see the resolution of issues through to conclusion. I would recommend Click as a safe pair of hands to oversee the management of your rental property.

Fantastic experience: Been with Click for the last 3 years on a house that I bought while overseas, they made the transition hassle free including subsequent tenancy changes. They are not cheap but the service they provide is top notch and our rental is not something that we worry about.

Negative experience: They have 0 accountability for the bond. I paid bond to them, when it's time to take it bake when you finish your contract and vacant the house, it has been more than 5 weeks and I'm still waiting for my bond. They are taking no responsibility to the bond and saying that I have to contact the bond center and do communication with them. Technically I paid them so they should take responsibility and make sure wherever they put my bond it has to come back to me. They changed me for the service cost and documentation service. This is very unprofessional behavior from click property. Usless
We understand how important it is to have your bond refunded in a timely manner. As required under the Residential Tenancies Act, we lodged the bond with Tenancy Services within the appropriate timeframe, and as previously notified, we have already submitted the bond refund form to them to release your portion.
Since Tenancy Services currently holds your bond, we are unable to take any further action from our end. We kindly suggest that you reach out to Tenancy Services directly for an update on the status of your refund.

Negative experience: I sincerely hope the measures announced by Housing Minister Megan Woods to regulate residential property managers will sound the death knell for Click, and those cut from the same cloth. Having had dealings, I know all too well what it's like to get burned by them, and I am not alone with that opinion, as reviews here and elsewhere bear witness to that. There have also been two stories in the ODT, one on Fair Go and at least one dedicated Reddit thread. Any Property Manager (Andrea and her underling BJ) worth their salt should view tenants as a valuable asset and ensure they communicate openly and honestly and not treat them like chattels or a source of revenue. Nor should they go out of their way to be confrontational and use strong-arm tactics (giving notice to end the tenancy and the tenancy tribunal as the only recourse) as a default setting when resolving a situation, as if it was a SPORT! In a perverse twist of irony, a post on their Facebook page in support of "Gumboot Friday" last year exemplifies how blatantly insensitive and tone-deaf they are, considering the atrocious past behaviour towards some tenants and the resulting impact on their/my mental health. Not surprisingly, they have limited who can comment on said post. Go figure! The only thing Click takes "very seriously" is their capacity to (on occasion) mistreat tenants and any opportunity for Andrea to get her mug in the public eye, such as appearing on "Renters." In short, avoid! Avoid! AVOID! P.S. Unlike some reviews here, mine is honest except for my name, which is a pseudonym I used solely because of Click's dismissive and vindictive nature. To do otherwise, I would run the risk of being revictimised. Furthermore, it doesn't violate Google's review policy, let alone negate anything in my review.
Fantastic experience: My flatmates and I are going into our second year with click as the Property Managers, and I speak for all of us in saying that we couldn't recommend them any more! In our experience, the team have been incredible communicators, who are highly trustworthy and professional, as well as being a team who are understanding of our requirements and will do their best to meet our needs. Fantastic experience: More than 7 years ago we bought our property here in Dunedin, while still living in Melbourne. We really didn't know anyone, so we asked our lawyer if he knew who could manage our property until we were ready to move across. 'Click' was his suggestion, and it was one of the best pieces of advice he had given us. Andrea, and her team were a perfect fit. They listened to our needs, found perfect tenants, looked after every aspect of the property and kept us in the loop with regular calls and reviews. We got to know and trust them completely. In fact we now class Andrea, Andrew and the girls as close friends and would have no hesitation in recommending Click.

Fantastic experience: The team at Click Property has been supporting us as tenants for over 7 years. They have been responsive, reliable, approachable and professional on all accounts. My advice to future clients: creating an excellent rapport with the staff is the key. Treat them like you want to be treated, acknowledge their hard work, and you develop a long-lasting relationship that is strong and resilient. Last year we had to vacate our rental due to it being sold. The team (especially AJ and Sam) supported us in many ways, even gave us advice while we tried to buy the property. And when the sale fell through they found us a new rental within 2 weeks. I gave them an impossible task with my long wish-list of what the new property is supposed to look like, and they found me just the right place, even got our fluffy cat allowed in. A year later this property came up for sale and again, the team was super-helpful. Now we are the happy owners of a beautiful place that we wouldn't have found without Andrea and her team. Fantastic experience: We've used Click Property for about 8 years managing a small rental we have in Dunedin. They have been great to deal with - always prompt in communication with any issues with tenants (and we've had a couple of tenants that took us for a ride unfortunately). We've also had some great tenants that needed very little looking after - either way Click has been professional and reliable. We've used our own contractors at times when we knew folk that could do a repair job and Click arranged contractors when we didn't. We don't really know how we managed without using a property management company but glad we went and remain with Click. Unfortunately managing rentals can be a thankless task - so I want to say thanks to Click for being great!

Negative experience: Part of the contract says that there would be weekly cleaning in communal areas such as kitchen, corridor and dining area. However there wasn't a cleaner in the property. Where is the cleaner? Washing machine is broken and needs fixing, emailed the click property agent but no reply after that. Would not recommend Click, bad experience, suffering now in property.
Negative experience: Poor communication The property we rented out was old with no insulation, one of the bathrooms had no window so it would get super mouldy really quick and we believe it wasn’t lawful to have a bathroom with no opening windows, they said it absolutely fine however when they had sent someone months later to check out the matter he said this is unsafe and installed a portable humidifier in the walk way to the bathroom to help. On move in day we thought we’d give the house a good clean and opened the toilet head where you flush and found chunks of mould inside, it was basically just filled with mould and a little bit of water. We sent a photo through to the property management to raise our concerns of it being a health issue however they refused to clean it as they “dont expect anyone to clean there”. We were allowed to end our contract early January instead of mid feb if they found new tenants, and so advertising started in November. We met a few of the people who came through to look at the house and made friends with them. They said they had applied for the house but no news yet.While click property were saying theres been no luck with finding new tenants it frustrated us that we knew a few people who had applied. Being mature students we did not stay in the house from Oct-feb however we had cleaned before leaving, we were asked to pay for mould that had grown over the time period and paid for brand new curtains that apparently had mould on them however when we left the house it didnt. Not the greatest communication with whats expected and just detailed information.
We are sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience with us. At Click we have a thorough screening process for potential tenants. There are many factors taken into consideration when matching tenants to properties and ultimately it is the owner’s decision which is why some applicants may be unsuccessful. We endeavor to assist in breaking of leases however, we cannot always guarantee this and unfortunately, you are still liable for a property until your agreement ends. Looking after tenants is our priority and we thank you for your feedback.
Negative experience: Click Property is the worst property manager that I have ever used. If I could give 0 stars I would. A friend warned me that Click Property was the worst property manager in Dunedin. I wish I had taken their advice. There are several management fundamentals that Andrea and her team struggled to implement during the management of my Dunedin property: - Communication was appalling throughout the entire tenancy. There was no communication from Andrea or her team even when the tenants reduced their rent payments intentionally or accidentally for several weeks. I was required to initiate the conversation and inform Andrea that the rental payments were incorrect and that the tenant was now in arrears. Andrea claimed there was a communication barrier and that the tenants were not aware they had made incorrect payments. Andrea never recovered the rent in arrears. - The tenants damaged a bedroom wall during the same tenancy. I informed Andrea that the wall needed repairs. Andrea claimed the tenants were issued a 14-day notice to repair the wall. The wall was never fully repaired despite multiple inspections by Click Property. During the exit inspection conducted by Andrea, she completely forgot to investigate and photograph the damaged wall. - It was evident that the multiple tenants had smoked in the laundry room during their tenancies. Evidence included dark spots on the ceiling and the curtain stank from the smell of cigarettes. Andrea and her team failed to notice this until I brought it to their attention, after which they mentioned it in the next routine inspection report. - Andrea noted that the shower and oven were left extremely dirty during the exit inspection. Although the scum build-up was well over three months old, Click Property failed to identify these issues during the routine inspections. Click Property's failure to satisfactorily complete routine inspections shows its inability to manage any property or tenancy. - The tenants described above were recommended by Click Property as they had a personal recommendation. The lack of rental history should have been a red flag as a personal recommendation does not indicate that they would be suitable tenants. I made the mistake of taking their advice. Andrea and her team’s failure to screen potential candidates illustrates their inability to manage any property and tenancy. Click Property has never taken accountability for its mismanagement. There were always excuses and the issues noted above were never resolved. The management style of Click Property is poor, and they don't know how to have difficult conversations. From my experience it would appear that Andrea hopes to get more airtime on the TV show Renters. I recommend using any other property management company in Dunedin over Click Property. There is a reason that they are the worst-rated property management company in Dunedin.

To clarify these tenants of this property were inherited when we took over management and regular inspections were conducted, and appropriate breaches made in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act. No rent was left in arrears at the end of tenancy and end of tenancy issues were negotiated with you. Our records show we had extensive communication with you. Sorry our management did not meet your expectations.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Click Property as a tenant initially and later on as a landlord. We were quite happy with their services and professionalism. Last year we moved overseas. They are not the cheapest in town but possibly one of the best ones to work with. They will take good care of your property.

Fantastic experience: We rented with Click for 4 years and during this time we found them nothing but professional, responsive,friendly and respectful The team at click have always respected our privacy and gave us plenty of notice when they or a trades person needed to come over When we moved out we didnt have enough time to sort the garden out which has been sorted by Click for a very reasonable price and it took away an other thing we didn't need to worry about while moving to an other city I would highly recommend click and would definitely rent with them again

Fantastic experience: I'm based overseas. Click has managed my rental property for the past 8 years and have always been responsive and professional with any queries I have. They ensure I get quality tenants and also advise me on what is fair and just for both landlord and tenants. Advice which I very much appreciate. Ashley specifically has managed me through a number of significant events like flooding, Insurance claims and significant property maintenance. Keep up the good work Click.
Fantastic experience: We have been renting from Click in Dunedin for the last 3-4 years and have found them great to deal with. They are fast and efficient when it comes to maintenance. If they do seem to take a while in getting back to you it's because they have had trouble contacting the owners of the house for permission, however, urgent repairs are always done promptly. I would say they are the best landlords we have dealt with.

Fantastic experience: They really went out of their way to match us to the right property. Very helpful and friendly with their assistance, and their turnaround was extremely quick. We are very glad that we chose Click Property Management
Fantastic experience: We recently moved to Dunedin from the UK. Rental agencies in Dunedin are an interesting experience. One half dont want good custom and another lot seem to be tardy and quite indifferent or inefficient. We are renting through Click and so far they are friendly but somewhat disinclined to accept that their checkin document is far too inaccurate. Dr Kamath and Dr Mallya We are writing to provide an update to the above review. Following our feedback to Click, over our Tenancy period, a shower tray was replaced in a timely fashion. We found the agents to be pleasant people to deal with. Our inspections were done without causing any inconvenience. We checked out during the Covid restrictions. AJ, our property manager at Click contacted us well whead of us leaving. She provided the necessary paperwork to help with checking out including a very useful checklist. We had clear instructions in terms of return of keys and have had communication indicating that our deposit is being refunded with no deductions. Negative experience: I had terrible experience with click property. Two years ago just a few days before Christmas the click property took letting fees for house with the drainage completely blocked. When I contacted them the same first day they told me they can’t do anything until after new year. They totally ruined my Christmas. When I asked multiple times for the owners contact details they never replied. I tenanted for two years under there contract. I felt I was mailing or getting replies from robots who has no humanity, empathy. All they seek is for money. If I had a mike and a loud speaker I would yell all through NZ to keep away from Click.
I am sorry that your renting experience with Click did not go as well as expected. Unftorunately over the holidays there can be delays in attending to repairs and maintenance requests with trades going on leave. Our maintenance system does have some automated responses more so when we are unable to respond in person. This system is designed to acknowledge and update you on the process but is not designed to replace the human touch, and again lack of pesonal response could have been due to the office being closed over the Christmas period. I can assure you it was not our intention for a blocked drain to spoil your christmas.
Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant in two different properties with Click over the past 3 years and would highly recommend them as they provide wonderful customer service . I have found the staff professional and in particular, Ashley, AJ, Sam and Laura have always bee approachable at any time. If I was staying in Dunedin they would be my first choice.

Fantastic experience: We've been with Click for around five years with three different properties. We have nothing but praise for the service we've revieved - quick and clear communication, prompt maintenance when requested, and full bond refunds at the end of all our leases. Click even negotiated with the landlord when we asked about having our cat with us in our current property. We have now bought our own house and Click have agreed to bring the end of our lease back 1-2 months to line up with our move in date. I would recommend Click without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: As becoming first time landlords and knowing very little on what to expect, and after enquiring with other rental agencies we choose to go with click. Why? 1. Because they answered our list of complicated questions on how to rent our properties efficiently and clearly, they made it seem easy where other agency’s made it very difficult and some failed to reply. 2. Their fee structure was very straight forward, no hidden costs and no endless list of fees that we struck with other company’s 3. Because they were extremely professional yet down to earth. You want professionals looking after your property that know all the ins and outs, but you also wants to know that you can easily communicate with them when the need arises and also that they can communicate with your tenant effectively too. A friendly welcoming approach is always a plus. Click worked quick for us with our enquires always getting back to us the same day or next day. We only gave click two weeks notice we wanted our properties rented and they found excellent tenants for us in that time frame. Great work! We found them friendly, efficient, helpful, easy to contact and very open and professional.
Negative experience: Click are very disrespectful, unprofessional and an utter joke wouldnt recommend them at all, they are money hungry and scammers. My partner and I have to pay back just shy of 2k for a property that we didn't even rent. We had a joint Contract and click told me that all though they got me to sign my part that if my partner decided not to sign that it would be fine, my partner looked over the contract and decided not to go ahead therefore not signing it we let click know within 15 minutes then got told that we had to pay break the lease fee 1 weeks rent and letting fee. We argued as the contract wasnt a legally binding contract but they refused so now we are left to pay this money for a house we didn't even step foot into or move anything into. This money could of gone towards our newborn son. Thanks click for the complete balls up I have never met such a bunch of unprofessional, lying, arrogant and nasty property managers let alone people before, I guess that's one thing you lot are good at.
Fantastic experience: This is my first year flatting under Click Property Management and they have made things very easy for us! They have great communication skills and provide quick replies with solutions to any qualms we have had throughout the year. Also, our property manager Ash is such a friendly, easy going, and approachable person which makes her a huge asset to the team! Thanks heaps!
Fantastic experience: All the negative reviews look like petty revenge from being poor tenants. We have been with Click for the past 18 months and have had nothing but a positive experience from them. The team are very friendly and non-invasive, repairs are sorted promptly and communications are well in advance of any inspections or the like. Our dog gets along great with them too ;) We will definitely be staying with, and recommending to our friends and family, Click Dunedin.

Negative experience: Totally unprofessional! Click Property Management conducts their business in a way that borders on criminal if not outright illegal. They will scam you as much as they can. I would not recommend them at all.

Negative experience: As a tenant under this company they operate in an extremely condescending manner and are offputting to lease through. Routine maintenance etc. are obviously to be expected, but when we were offered a contract we were treated in a very disrespectful manner which has carried through the tenancy. I'm sure they're alright from the point of view of a landlord, but note that your turnover of tenants will likely be higher given how the staff will treat them. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: Annoying that Click have so many rentals listed with them... as I would strongly advise not using them. Agree with other reviews; money hungry and completely disinterested. Ridiculous letting fee...for what? They left all of our queries unanswered and even when we had some semi serious complaints and queries with our property and the trades people they had organised to come and do work- they did not answer. They then tried to hold our bond... for no good reason. It was a joke.
Negative experience: My partner and I rented through click. We found them intrusive, oppressive, bullying and just downright rude to work with! Never again! They even tried to claim for things they had refused to sort before we moved in! The Tenancy Tribunal said so too! Horrible people. Mary, our letting agent was awesome. Negative experience: The purpose of this post is to alert prospective landlords about a property management business who we believe should be avoided. The property management business is called Click and they are located in Dunedin, New Zealand. We worked with Click as both tenants and landlords. When we were tenants, we were impressed by Click's regular, and thorough, inspections of the property. This was a key reason for us selecting Click when we became landlords. However, when we were landlords, Click did not undertake regular or thorough inspections of our home. We had to remind them. In addition, they market themselves as prompt and effective communicators. However, they were neither prompt nor effective in their communications with us. We were landlords located overseas. Therefore, good communication was particularly important. We did almost all the work to manage the property, yet we were paying Click. It was a waste of money. In short, we would not hire Click again. If you are considering appointing a property management business, we would highly recommend that you avoid Click.
Positive experience: We rented a property through Click for a relatively short period of time, but throughout the period found them to be professional and helpful. We had no issues with the property and enjoyed our time there, and the exit process at the end of the lease was smooth and straightforward. Thank you.
